Yet another new BJ's Wholesale Club in the works?!?

Massachusetts: A Seyon Street site that was once slated for a Lowe’s home improvement store will now be home to a BJ’s Wholesale Club, according to a spokeswoman for the developer of the property.

Diana Pisciotta, spokeswoman for Boston-based Samuels and Associates, said an 117,000-square-foot BJ’s is planned for the 20 Seyon St. location., which the developer will build “by right.”

Read the article here. Construction is planned to be finished by the fall of 2010.

More at Boston.com: BJ's to move into former Raytheon site.

What a month for BJ's, if I'm counting right, that brings the July count of new BJ's developments up to four, and the sixth announcement of new projects since March...What recession??

Oh and they've also just inked a new 5-year contract with Wirpo Bags.

  2. You should fudge some paperwork and take the cash. Just do it, you know you want to.

  3. Ummmm, no. Unlike you I have morals. I keep my promises and commitments, nothing in any BJ's is worth taking. Nor do I have any need or reason to fudge anything, I have nothing to hide. I've had some problems with our management team. I tried to resolve it but like most of the other posts talk about here, dealing with them just made things worse. I feel I'm under paid for the amount of responsibility the job requires, I'm think I'm being taking advantage of. What my post was meant to convey was frustration and disappointment and curiosity. Look, I make nothing and I'm not a teenager anymore, I'm an adult. Five years ago, If someone would have told me that the industry I was in would downsize to the point it is today. That finding good paying work would be nearly impossible and that I'm in a low paying hourly position, I would have thought they were crazy. About me starting not to care... I was hoping BJ's would be the start of a new carrier for me and a pleasant place for me to grow with the company. Instead what I found was a extremely hostile work environment with little being done to curb that type of unprofessionalism. I need a job and I have two of them, I DON'T need to steel from BJ's to meet my monthly expenses. I go in everyday and do my best but not caring in the since that I realize that BJ's, or rather what was told to me during orientation and the first few months were just lies. My honesty, work ethic and morals are better then BJ's deserves. It benefits both right now. I get a steady, yet small check from a bunch of insecure hateful people and BJ's gets a lower office that is running without issue. A lot of these posts talk about good people leaving... well, it's true and I will be one of them.

I'm not a thief and I'm offended by your post.

  4. As a former manager, I would have LOVED to catch the poster who said to fudge some paperwork... BJ'S WILL have you arrested. I know of a couple of clubs where that occurred...

Some of the managers are overpaid
a#@#$holes, and others are underpaid for what they do.....

Poster with the high moral and ethics.....
Keep up your high standards and you are correct, the company does not value that

    And to Corporate office....
    My offer STILL STANDS

Contact former managers and employees to find out why all the good employees left... I guarantee it is not what is stated in their employment jacket

  5. to 150 Everyone at my club knows about this website. There is a lot of negative comments about fellow team members. I feel that a couple people were just venting because they have issues that no one seems to be concerned about. I think this BJ's Workers Blog was a good place to do that and they felt comfortable doing so on here because they noticed that they could post anonymous. They feel that if they bring these issues up that thier job would be threatened and the reason I feel this way is because if they find out who posted anonymously they are going to be fired. People want to find out who posted what so bad but thats why I'm thanking you because you let the team members without a voice be heard without the fear of repremand. Instead of trying to find out who posted what, I think they should try to right the wrongs within instead of planning a vengeance on the postee. Once again thank you for having a place for the "no voices" be heard.

    1. I'm about to start as an overnight stocker, or "Ticketer" as they call it, and my base pay is $8 and I will get an extra $1/hr for overnight pay. So, for me, I will be getting paid $9/hr. Remember though, pay varies from state to state and from store to store.
